NAROK University College Principal Prof David Serem has appealed to the local communities to build hostels near the institutions so as to ease accommodation crisis currently facing them. Prof Serem said that the accommodation is now a big challenge to them after the double intake of students was introduced by the government.
He made the remarks yesterday during the first year's students orientation at the university hall where more than 1,100 students were admitted. "The institution has an available space that can only accommodate 2,000 students and we expect another 2,000 students this year," said Prof Serem.
