Angola: Senegal to Host Women Under-18 Afrobasket2012

Luanda — The African Under-18 Women Basketball Cup of Nations will take place in Dakar, Senegal, between August and September, with the participation of seven countries, including Angola, ANGOP learned.

Other national teams attending the 11th edition of the Afrobasket are Egypt, Gabon, Mali, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo and Tunisia, according to FIBA/Africa website. Angola that dominated the zone qualifier will try to improve the position from the seventh championship in 2010, in Egypt, won by the host.

In the men's category, the national team will seek to do better than the feat of the eighth edition in Rwanda. Egypt are also holder of the trophy in the men's category.
