Uganda: Police Deploys Over 200 Cops in Kisoro
By Steven Candia, 25 May 2012
The Uganda Police has deployed 200 extra officers at Bunagana and the Nyakabande transit centre, Kisoro District. This follows an influx by refugees fleeing renewed clashes in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The deployment of additional manpower followed a security meeting between Police boss Lt. Gen. Kale Kayihura and the district leadership over the situation at the Uganda-DRC border town of Banagana.
