Come June 1, in exactly three days, the new electricity tariff announced recently by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) will take effect. Chika Amanze-Nwachuku, who was at a recent Town-hall Meeting, organised by the Ministry of Power on the state of the electricity industry, writes that most electricity users who spoke at event expressed their willingness to pay the new rate, if only that would solve the electricity problem
