Cote d'Ivoire: President Ouattara Holds Talks With ICC Judge

"The victims have the right to justice," Fraternite Matin (p. 4) quotes ICC judge Silvana Arbia as saying after a meeting with President Ouattara yesterday in Abidjan. The judge is also reported as saying that "the ICC is ready to assure that justice is provided." Speaking on the ICC's decision to open a bureau in Abidjan, Arbia said: "The objective is to bring the court closer to the communities that were victims of the crimes that fall under the jurisdiction of the court and the sensitize them."
