Nigeria: No Terrorist in Kogi - Wada Says

Lokoja — The Kogi State governor, Capt Idris Wada, says Kogi is not a terrorist state as there is no terrorist in it.

The governor also said when he received in audience beauty queens from the 36 states of the federation who were in the state for the fifth edition of the Finest Girls on Earth Beauty Pageant that the state is peaceful and devoid of terrorists.

Represented by his deputy, Arc Yomi Awoniyi, Wada therefore called on those seeking to invest in the state to take the advantage of the enabling environment created and the incentives provided by the present administration to do business.

He said efforts to make the state safe from criminals and their activities has led to the discoveries of hideouts and arrests of criminals, saying that the state is the most peaceful in the federation with abundant tourism potentials,

According to him, it was the advantage that informed the present administration's determination to complete the 100 rooms annex of the Confluence Beach Hotel among other tourist sites.

Earlier, president, Finest Girls on Earth, Barry Johnson, said the event aimed at showcasing the abundant tourism potentials in the state and commended the efforts put in place to improve tourism infrastructures.
