NGAMANE Karuaihe-Upi has been appointed as the acting national director of the Namibian chapter of the Media Institute of Southern Africa (Misa Namibia) "for the foreseeable future".
The vacancy will be advertised as soon as possible, the organisation said. The organisation's annual general meeting is "due shortly".
Karuaihe-Upi assumes this position after the departure of former national director Marbeline Mwashekele.
Misa Namibia said it is building on its access-to-information campaign, the entrenchment of a media code of ethics among media practitioners, and broadening its membership base.
