Angola: Literature Brigade Committed to Promotion of Local Works

Huambo — The Youth Brigade of Literature in central Huambo province said the institution is focussed this year on the promotion of national writers' works, through the sessions of sale and signing autographs with the presence of these authors.

This was said Wednesday by its secretary João Lara Macuva Hotalala.

He told Angop that since the middle of January until the 27th May, the Youth Literature Brigade arranged six sessions of sale of books in central Huambo province, having recorded high demand by the local lovers of the national literature.

Among the works stress goes to themes like "Ensaboado e enxaguado", by José Carlos de Almeida, "Último segredo", by Tazuary Keita, "Os primeiros passos da rainha Ginga", by John Bella, "Memórias de uma alcoólica", by Isaura Epanda, "Recitar nos lábios da palavra", by Moisés Sandombe and "No calar da noite" by Cássia Vissuma.
