FORMER Brave Warriors coach Tom Saintfiet has wished Namibia luck for their World Cup qualifier against Nigeria on Sunday.

Saintfiet, now employed as technical director of Nigerian football, sent his best wishes via e-mail to his former employer and Namibia Football Association president John Muinjo.

The Belgian, whose Nigerian appointment is the subject of much debate in that country, also said he has been keeping tabs on the Brave Warriors.

And based on his assessment of the squad, Namibia is evolving into a formidable side.

"I was last Saturday in Wurzburg at the game (between) Mozambique and Namibia and saw a very talented Brave Warriors team. These young guys have a bright future, it's great to see them," said Saintfiet.

"Fifteen of the 21 players I selected before but the young guys became more mature and are ready for the big tasks. I wish the Brave Warriors good luck for the upcoming games!"
