Former Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa called on the government to be honest about the "gasoline and diesel crisis" and tell the public what measures it is taking to fix the problem.
The ex-presidential candidate came fifth in the first round of Egypt's presidential race.
"I received reports from all different governorates that the gasoline and diesel crisis has returned, and we are witnessing the long queues in Cairo," Moussa posted on Twitter.
