Nigeria: Kaduna Moves Against Duplication of Resources in Disaster Control

Kaduna — Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) yesterday summoned all stakeholders in the state with a view to ensuring proper coordination of disaster control which often results to duplication and waste of resources.

Speaking at a one-day stakeholders meeting in Kaduna, the Executive Secretary of SEMA, Ishaku Dogo Makama, said it becomes necessary for all stakeholders to put their equipment and resources together for quick response to emergencies. "The strongest resources, we have, is determination; in this meeting ideas will be formulated for proper coordination and handling of disaster in our state; it will also enable us to keep a constant touch with each other", he said.
