Nigeria: Bamanga Yet to Accept Obasanjo's Resignation, Says BOT Scribe

Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BOT), Senator Walid Jibril, said the party's National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, has not made any categorical statement on whether he has accepted the resignation of Olusegun Obasanjo as BOT chairman.

Jubril, who spoke with reporters in Abuja, said a meeting of the board will be convened very soon to decide on the issue of BOT chairman.

The BOT Secretary, who pointed out that the decision on the new BOT chairman may not be taken in a hurry, noted that it took them one year before he was elected to replace Abdullahi Adamu as BOT scribe.
