Kenya: Kiprop, Masai and Karoki Book London Ticket

World Half Marathon champion Wilson Kiprop, Moses Masai and Bedan Karoki booked tickets to represent Kenya at this year's London Olympic Games after clinching the first three places at the 10,000 metres Olympic trials in Eugene.

With 15 athletes fighting for a chance to compete in London, the athletes gave it their all despite the wet track with kiprop winning the race in a time of 27:01.98 while Masai returned 27:02.2 and Karoki clocked 27:05.50.

Athletics Kenya chairman Isaiah Kiplagat announced that those who finished fourth, fifth and sixth would will represent the country at the African Senior Athletics Championships in Benin.

National Olympic Committee of Kenya chairman Dr Kipchoge Keino congratulated the winners and all the 15 athletes and commended them for the high standards displayed and their dedication towards the preparation for the final trials.
