Angola: Environment Technologies Fair Successful

Luanda — The 2nd edition of the International Environmental Technologies Fair held in Luanda since Thursday last week, attended by106 local and foreign exhibitors, closed Sunday evening with positive results.

The event that went with the theme "Sustainable Energy and Water for All", served for an exchange of experience among investors and outline future actions in the field of environmental Technologies in Angola, a source from the Ministry of Environment said.

The national director of the Ministry of Environment, António Matias, said the investment in environmental technologies is part of the international commitments taken by Angola and will require the transfer of technologies and know-how so that their be expanded to various regions of the country.

Antonio Matiras said the expansion of the use of the said technologies and know-how might contribute to improve the quality of environment, particularly concerning the clean energies.

António Matias praised the participation of the exhibitors, especially those from abroad seeking partnerships in Angola.

The 2nd edition of the Fair witnessed Saturday the award of prizes to public and private institutions engaged in the promotion of environmental technologies in Angola, during a ceremony attended by the minister of Environment, Maria de Fátima Jardim and guests.
