Zam Zam Camp — Security services closed down four large pharmacies in Zam Zam camp for displaced people, confiscating medicines and arresting four of the owners.
A witness said one was released without bail, but the rest are still in custody with no reasons given for their detention.
Some camp residents told Radio Dabanga that they believe this move was taken to deliberately reduce the number of medicines available in the camp.
They also complained about the delays in giving the four health centres permits to deliver medicines to the camp.
They appealed to the local authorities to allow immediate access for medication to the camp, release the three detained pharmacy owners and return the confiscated medicines to people that desperately need them.
