Dali — Residents that fled Dali near Kabkabiya have said their village was completely burned down by militias.

Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that dozens of residents fled towards Kabkabiya yesterday evening after gunmen attacked killing one resident and wounding several others.

They said gunmen traveled on camels, horses and in cars opening fire before setting the village alight.

They added that the incident came a day after two people were killed in an exchange of gunfire with militants at a village near Dali.
