Paramount Chief of Nieni chiefdom in the Koinadugu District has, over the weekend, expressed his frustration at the problem of poor road network currently facing his chiefdom and called on the government to help construct better roads leading to the chiefdom.
PC Foday Alimamy Umaru Jalloh III said roads leading to most parts of his chiefdom are bad and many business people have abandoned most villages under the chiefdom due to the poor road network that links them to major towns despite Nieni being a well-fertile land for agricultural activities.
