Angola: Huambo General Hospital Gets Nutritional Supplements

Huambo — The Health Minister, José Van-Dúnem, handed over on Wednesday nutritional supplements with integrated formula to the General Hospital of the central Huambo province, aiming to recover children suffering from alnutrition.

Angop learnt that these supplements were handed over on the fringes of the minister's visit paid to that hospital, where 11 children suffering from malnutrition are currently hospitalised.

On occasion, the director of the referred hospital, Welema Cipriano da Fonseca, highlighted the official's initiative, saying that the lack of preparation of a good diet by parents and guardians is considered the main cause of malnutrition.

He said that it is important to hold awareness campaigns on food diet in communities.
