Eritrea: Health Station Opens in Hamash-DDA Administrative Area

Kerkebet — The Administration of Hamash-Dba Administrative area, Kerkebet sub-zone, disclosed that a health station has opened in the locality. Mr. Afwerki Isaac, Associate Nurse in the locality, indicated that the health station has started rendering child immunization, maternity and outpatient services, besides regular community sensitization activities.

Among the local inhabitants, Ms. Amna Mohammed Osman and Fatina Mohammed Seid, who indicated that they used to obtain medical services in the health station in Hmbol-Kechech or the Health Center in Amelayit, expressed satisfaction with the new health station in the locality.

Stating that the enhancement of community-based style of living in the locality has become a basis for implementation of social service facilities, Mr. Humed Sheikh Anur, Administrator of Hamash-Dba Administrative area, voiced conviction that the availability of such facility in the area attests to the Government's commitment to improve the livelihood of nationals in the rural areas.

Hamash-Dba village is located 180 Km. north-west of Keren city.
