Nigeria: MTN Budgets U.S.$1.3 Billion On Network Modernization

Lagos — MTN Nigeria yesterday announced commitment of $1.3 billion (N160.5 billion) for a comprehensive network modernisation and swap-out exercise that is expected to cover its network across the country over a span of nine months.

Speaking at press conference in Lagos, Corporate Services Executive of the company, Mr. Wale Goodluck, said the exercise will entail upgrading and replacing key network components with newer versions for enhanced capacity and much improved quality of service.
