FLUNG deep inside the dust bowls of Zimbabwe's Mudzi District, Chimukoko was hardly known until two weeks ago when the country's largely malfunctioning political radar suddenly picked up the area.

The murder of a Movement for Democratic Change (MDC-T) official, Cephas Magura, brought this otherwise unknown impoverished land into the limelight, effectively exposing the cause of some of the country's deep-seated political ulcers.
