Egypt: HPEC - Voting Process for Egyptians Abroad Ends Saturday

Head of the Higher Presidential Elections Commission (HPEC), Counselor Farouk Sultan said that the voting process in the run-off presidential elections will end on Saturday 09/06/2012.

Counselor Sultan pointed out that vote turnout in the run-off elections that lasted for a week in 166 countries under the supervision of ambassadors and consuls reached more than 40 percent.

He noted that vote-counting will start on Saturday evening after the end of the ballot process, where the results will be sent to the Foreign Ministry that will send them to HPEC.

Furthermore, Sultan stressed that the runoff in Egypt will be held on Saturday and Sunday June 16 and 17 under full judicial supervision.
