Egypt: FM Receives Report on the Country's Participation in Arab-Turkish Forum in Libya

Foreign Minster Mohamed Kamel Amr received a detailed report from Assistant Foreign Minister Ayman Musharafa on the outcome of the Arab-Turkish forum which wrapped up on Friday 08/06/2012. Egypt took part in the event.

Ambassador Musharafa said Egypt had presented a project to establish industrial and trade zones to improve cooperation among Libya neighbors.

He added that the forum suggested the construction of "dry ports" in southern Libya to be a trade link between the Arab world and Africa.

The forum, which was held at the ministerial level, also called for linking Libya to sea ports in Egypt, Sudan and Tunisia.

Cairo will host the 3rd forum by the end of 2012.
