Tunisia: Some 6150 People Crossed On Sunday Into Tunisia Through Dhéhiba-Wazen Border Post

Tataouine — Some 6150 people have crossed on Sunday into Tunisia through the border post of Dhéhiba-Wazen (Governorate of Tataouine), that is twice the usual daily number of travelers, reports the head of Tunisian border police.

This large number, made notably of Libyans crossing into Tunisia, is due to the closing of the Libyan side of the border post of Ras Jedir (Governorate of Médenine) after the armed clashes of last Saturday night between militiamen of Zouara and the Libyan army.

The border post of Ras Jedir has been reopened on Sunday afternoon and traffic has resumed normally.
