Angola: Industry Minister Unveils Plastic Products Manufacturing Plant

Luanda — A plastic product manufacturing factory, called GLOPOL, was inaugurated Monday by the minister of Geology, Mining and Industry, Joaquim David.

Based in Viana district, Luanda, the factory has a production capacity of five thousand plastic pallets/month, 20,000 boxes of various sizes per month, containers for collection of solid waste and buckets.

The plant has at the moment, products for sale in the country for a period of five years.

According to the director of the factory, Campos Oliveira, the company's board intends to make the factory the largest producer and exporter of packaging and transport in sub-Saharan Africa.

On the occasion, the minister Joaquim David said that the country has just got a potential and big capacity factory in the plastics industry in Africa.
