TAIFA Stars head coach, Kim Poulsen, has lauded his squad's fighting spirit that helped the team overcome Gambia in the Sunday's second group C match of the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers, African Zone, played at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Stars edged Gambia 2-1 to climb to the second position in the group after collecting three points from two matches and consequently staying behind group leaders and favourites, Cote d' Ivoire, whose away 2-2 draw with Morocco on Saturday helped them post four points from two outings.
