Finance Minister Amara Konneh has departed the country to attend a high-level United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in the Brazilian capital, Rio de Janeiro. The Rio-Plus-Twenty (Rio +20) Conference runs from June 13-15.
Minister Konneh will be among 500 delegates including world Leaders, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Parliamentarians, and the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, who are expected to take decisions and announce commitments and galvanize actions on how to reduce poverty and inequality and at the same time ensure environmental protection throughout the world.
