Nigeria: Jonathan, Buhari Betrayed Electorate - CAN

Bauchi — The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the North-East yesterday said that President Goodluck Jonathan and the CPC presidential candidate in the last election, General Muhammadu Buhari, have betrayed the region.

Chairman of CAN in the North-East, Reverend Shu'aibu Mbyal, while speaking with newsmen in Bauchi said, "The two of them betrayed the people of North-East because, they came to the region, and asked for votes, and the people came out and voted for them massively. It was in that process that the post election violence erupted and many lives were lost. We are still battling with so many hoodlums and gun men insurgencies".

Byal, who warned Christians against reprisal attacks, urged the state government to do its best to tackle the crisis in the area.

I have never heard a more comprehensive and insghtful comment about the post election violence in the norht than the one by this Revrend.

Sides have been blaming one another, shamefully so, without any reference to the root and cause of the matter.

The politician in Nigeria needs to know that, they are like blood suckers, directly or indirectly.

If this poeple have any conscience, they need to do more to stop the lost in life of the innocent.

Unfurtunately, the groups participating in the post election violence are like two friends leaving peacefully, them comes another person, who asks one of the friend to slap the other, hence the slaping continues .
