Kenya: I Am in ODM but Will Work With All Leaders, Says Kisia

Former Nairobi clerk Philip Kisia has dismissed claims that he has ditched ODM. Kisia said that his interaction with various leaders is an indication that politics has matured in the country.Kisia is eyeing the city governor post. "As an aspirant for Nairobi governorship, I will ask for votes from all the 42 Kenyan tribes, but they will first want me to tell them that my own people support me," said Kisia, who has roots in Vihiga county. He said the notion that asking your own tribe to vote for you is tribalism iss wrong. He said Kenyans will respect you if you earn respect at home first.

Kisia castigated those spreading rumuors that he ias a party-hopper saying as an aspiring governor of the city, he intends to serve all Kenyans regardless of tribe, party, religion or colour. "I am firmly in ODM, but Nairobi is cosmopolitan and its success will not be for ODM or TNA, or for Luhya, Luo, Kikuyu, Kalenjin or any one tribe. If you are scared of me, look for another place to hide, not in rumors," Kisia said.
