Angola: Release of DVD On Agostinho Neto in Maputo

Luanda — A DVD entitled "Moçambicanos Falam de "Agostinho Neto" will be released Wednesday in Maputo, Mozambique, in the presence of local prominent figures, particularly the head of State, Armando Guebuza, and the chairperson of Antonio Agostinho Neto Foundation, Maria Eugenia Neto.

The event, that is jointly organised by Antonio Agostinho Neto Foundation and the Front for the Liberation of Mozambique (Frelimo), coincides with the celebrations of the 90th birthday of the first president of Angola, Antonio Agostinho Neto.

The ceremony for the release of the DVD will be presided over by the Mozambican president and will be attended by Government officials, Angolan ambassador and diplomats accredited to Mozambique.

The resident community and local intellectuals will also be among the guests.

The DVD includes testimonies of Mozambican entities who also socialised with president Agostinho Neto, with stress to ex-president Joaquim Chissano, Marcelino dos Santos, Mariano Matsinha, Mia Couto and others.

To this end, Maria Eugénia Neto, the widow of Agostinho Neto, has been in Maputo since last Sunday.
