Nigeria: Four Wounded As Okada Riders Clash With Security Operatives in Jos

Jos — At least four people sustained gunshot wounds yesterday in a clash between aggrieved youths, mostly Okada riders, and security operatives from the Special Task Force (STF) and the Nigeria Police Force working to enforce the ban on use of commercial motocycles in Jos city.

The injured included one Haruna Abdullahi who lost three fingers from a gunshot and two others who were shot in the legs and knees allegedly by the security agents working to stop the Okada riders from defying the law.
