Nigeria: 18,000 Civil Servants Trained On Productivity

Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HOS) Alhaji Isa Bello Sali yesterday said 17,898 officials of the Federal Civil Service have benefitted from Federal Government's specialized mandatory training programme to improve their productivity.

Sali stated this at the opening of the 10th edition of the specialised training programme for Grade Level 08-16 officers in the Federal Service which held at the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN) in Kubwa, Abuja.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary Manpower Development Office, Mrs. Nkechi Ejele, Sali stated that the batch 10 in the series comprises of 750 officers for mandatory training and 650 officers who will receive training in information and communication technology.

The programme was jointly organized by the office of the Head of Service and that of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

On his part, the Director-General of Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Lagos, Mr. Ajibade Peters, urged participants to reciprocate the gesture of government in ensuring efficiency and transparent service delivery.
