Kenya: City Lawyer Makes Appeal Over Alcohol

A Nairobi lawyer has called on bar owners and their attendants to observe the Mututho law especially the clause that prohibits selling alcoholic drinks to children. Kiarie Kamere said the law is not punitive as some people are suggesting but it is meant to regulate the consumption of alcohol. He was speaking at Travellers Inn Gatundu during a meeting with bar owners and attendants from Gatundu district.

Kamere said alcohol business is a respectable engagement and called on the attendants to form Saccos to enable them save to for the education of their children and retirement.
