The NCCK Secretary General Peter Karanja has accused politicians of ignoring the plight of the country's youth. Speaking yesterday at a two-day forum at the Reformed Church of East Africa hall in Eldoret said there is need to initiate programmes to empower the youth. He asked the youth to shun politicians, who want to use them to for their selfish gains, adding the empowerment of the youth is critical to peace in the country.
The forum was also attended by the Eldoret Bishop of Anglican Church of Kenya Christopher Ruto, who said healing and reconciliation in areas that were most hit by the post-election chaos in the region was yet to be fully realised.
