Angola: Ambassador At International Conference On Oil, Gas

Ottawa — The extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Angola to Canada, Agostinho Tavares, attended the international conference on oil and gas, held in Calgary, Alberta, on June 12-14.

During the event, promoted by the Association of Petroleum Engineers (APE), were addressed issues that relate to the technologies involved in producing and processing oil and gas as well as on the alternatives for the conservation of the environment during the extraction process.

It debated major innovations in machinery and products from the oil industry and facilitated the exchange of experiences about the challenges encountered in laboratory processing of oil and gas.

During the event, the major international oil companies took advantage of the space available for display as part of the world oil show (Global Petroleum Show-GPS) held simultaneously in the same place, some of their products and some technological tools as crucial for the development of its industrial activity.

Asked to comment on the event, Agostinho Tavares pointed out to be a very important conference that attracted well-known companies from the oil industry and allowed greater exchange between the various actors involved in the processing and production of hydrocarbons.
