Angola: MPLA in Zambia Pleased With Head of Party's List

Luanda — The ruling MPLA party's Committee in Zambia expressed satisfaction and support toward the organisation's list led by the president José Eduardo dos Santos for the country's elections scheduled for next August 31.

The fact was announced Saturday in Luanda by the party's first secretary in Zambia, Paulo Luís Ngunza.

Paulo Luís Ngunza, who is in Lunada for consultation with the ruling party's leadership, said that the decision meets the desire of the party's committee and militants in Zambia who support the president José Eduardo dos Santos.

On the other hand, the official said that the committee is also pleased with the appointment of the current minister of State and Economic Coordination, Manuel Vicente, the second in the list and the future vice President of Republic.

According to him, Manuel Vicente is an ancient militant of MPLA and he fits for the post of assistance of the head of State in forthcoming challenges.

MPLA committee in Zambia has over 8,000 militants in nine provinces of Zambia.
