Congo-Kinshasa: Nyamagabe - Refugees in Rwanda Transferring Process Continues

The preparation to transfer refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo from Nkamira refugee camp to Kigeme refugee camp is still in process whereas at least 440 refugees have already been transferred.

First group of refugees to be taken to Kigeme refugee camp was done on Sunday the 3rd,.June.2012 and actions of transferring them and rebuilding Kigeme refugee camp are in the process where at least 232 tents and houses have been built.

Emmanuel Niyibaho the director of Kigeme refugee camp said that all refugees in this camp are being cared upon and everything possible is being done for them to be secure.

A house that will be acting as a clinic and there are going to build others and patient with difficult diseases will be taken to nearby hospitals like Kigeme hospital and Health centre.

Neimah Warsame the director of UNHCR in Rwanda thanked the efforts the government of Rwanda is using in rebuilding this camp. This camp will accommodate the refugees form RDC that are now in Nkamira refugee camp temporarily and they are about 12.000 people.
