Egypt: Tayyeb - Failure to Vote Is Negligence of Homeland's Rights

Al-Azhar Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed el-Tayyeb underlined that the act of not voting in the run-off presidential elections is considered negligence of the right of the homeland.

In statements Saturday 16/6/2012, el-Tayyeb called on the people and the official parties to keep the peaceful nature of the elections and prevent acts of violence.

This is a historic day in the life of all Egyptians as every citizen chooses his candidate by his own free will via fair elections, he added.
