Namibia: Namundjebo -Tilahun Retains NCCI Reins

BUSINNESWOMAN Martha Namundjebo-Tilahun will spearhead the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) for a second term, flanked by Sven Thieme, executive chairman of the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group as first vice-president, and Theo Mberirua of EMH Capital's Risk and Audit Committee as second vice-president.

Strengthening ties with other chambers in Southern Africa to push for accelerated deepening of the regional economic integration is among the tasks facing the new NCCI board, Namundjebo-Tiluhan said after she was re-elected at the chamber's annual general meeting (AGM) on Saturday.

New to the board is Elize Petersen, Air Namibia's manager for Government and protocol relations, who succeeded Jerry Muadinohamba, chief executive officer of the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund, after a stint of six years.

The following board members were elected for another term: Inge Zaamwani-Kamwi, Leake Hangala, John Akapandi Endjala, Bisey Uirab, Sebby Kankondi, Israel Kalenga, Onesmus Amadhila, Robby Amadhila and Lucia Shipena.
