The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has condoled the Board and Management of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) over the loss of some of its staff in the Dana Air crash of June 3.
A condolence letter to the CBN governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and signed by the Managing Director of NDIC Umaru Ibrahim, the corporation said the loss of over 150 souls including those of Mr. Kim Norris and a number of CBN staff in the air disaster is a cause for national grief.
"The fact that Mr. Kim Norris and some of the CBN staff were travelling for the Corporation's training programme when the incident occurred has indeed left the Corporation in deeper sorrow," the letter read.
It further read: "On behalf of the Board, Management and the entire Staff of the Corporation, I wish to once again express our sincere condolence and pray for the repose of the souls of all the lives lost during this sad incident.
"It is our prayer that the nation in general and CBN in particular would not suffer such enormous calamity in the future."
