Angola: Miss Universe Hands Over Prize At Rio+20 Summit

Rio Janeiro — Miss Universe, the Angolan Leila Lopes, handed over on Sunday a prize of combating desertification at the UN conference on sustainable development, taking place on 20-22 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The prize, estimated at USD 400.000, was won by a Haitian project.

The Angolan national was nominated UN Ambassador for arid of the planet zones.
