Angola: Parents Urged to Take Their Children to Vaccination

Luanda — The physician Ricardo Jorge of the National Health Institute, in Luanda, encouraged parents to take their children for vaccination against meningitis, from early childhood, in order to avoid damages from the illness.

The specialist, who was presenting a lecture on meningitis, stressed that the illness is among the infectious diseases registered in the society, with children below the age of five being the most affected.

Ricardo Jorge, without stressing the numbers, said that many cases of meningitis have been registered and one of the ways of avoiding it is to be vaccinated.
