Uganda: Four Policemen Killed in Entebbe Road Accident

Four policemen have been killed and 2 others were seriously injured in a tragic road accident Monday morning.

The tragedy occurred at Kitubulu near Ssese Gateway Beach on the shores of Lake Victoria along Entebbe-Kampala Highway.

Police deputy spokesperson Judith Nabakooba told New Vision on phone that policemen on a patrol vehicle were rushing a mob justice victim to hospital when a heavy truck rammed into the patrol reducing it to crunches. The victim also later died.

The injured have been rushed to Entebbe hospital and the dead are yet to be identified.
