Angola: Over 100 Weapons Seized in Luanda

Luanda — The National Police seized a total of 109 firearms of various calibre in May this year in Luanda, as part of the ongoing compulsory disarming of citizens in illegal possession of weapons.

The information is contained in the monthly report of the National Police's Luanda Technical Subcommittee, a body under the National Commission on Disarmament of People in Illegal Possession of Weapons.

According to the source, the operation targeted the districts of Cazenga (six), Samba (16), Viana (32), Cacuaco (17), Rangel (six), Kilamba Kiaxi (nine), Maianga (nine), Ingombota (seven) and Sambizanga (seven).

The corporation also seized 15 chargers and 11 ammunition.
