Ghana: Akufo-Addo Wishes Him Well

The Office of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo released a statement from the New Patriotic Party flag-bearer yesterday, wishing the President of Ghana well with his medical check-up in the United States.

"We learnt last night from President Atta Mills that he was on his way to the United States to see doctors for medical treatment. I hope the checks go well and he comes back fit and strong," the Presidential Candidate, who is expected to be the President's main challenger in the 2012 Presidential elections on December 7, stated.

"He takes with him the thoughts and prayers of all Ghanaians who wish him good health and a safe return to duty in a few days," the statement signed by the NPP Presidential candidate affirmed.

President Mills beat Nana Akufo-Addo in very close Presidential run-off in the 2008 elections. The two leading contenders are squaring up once again for a show-down in December. Other candidates in the race are Mr. Hassan Ayariga of the People's National Convention, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, representing the People Popular Party (PPP) and Dr. Abu Sakara Forster of the Convention People's Party.
