Tunisia: Final Draft of Preamble to Tunisia's Constitution to Be Ready Late July

Bardo — The final draft of the preamble to the new constitution will be ready late next July, Chairman of the Constitution Preamble and Fundamental Principles Committee Sahbi Atig announced Monday.

The draft preamble, which contains the fundamental principles of the Constitution, will be exceptionally discussed at a plenary session, he said at a committee meeting.

The meeting also discussed the motto of Tunisia's Republic and the possibility of adding the word "dignity." The motto would become "Freedom, Dignity, Order, Justice."
