Egypt: Ghorab - Refining Labs to Be Developed to Achieve Self-Sufficiency

Petroleum Minister Abdallah Ghorab decided on Monday 18/6/2012 to establish a new department to control the marketing of gasoline and diesel oil and curb the smuggling of petroleum products and end the phenomenon of filling jerry cans with petroleum products.

Meanwhile, the minister called for hurrying up with carrying out a plan to develop refining laboratories which produce 33 million tons of petroleum products annually where the production rate will ratchet up to 45 million tons by the end of the five-year plan.
