Kenya: Kisii Leader Appeals to Kibaki, Raila

AN ODM sub-branch chairman yesterday asked the two coalition partners President Mwai Kabaki and PM Raila Odinga to appoint credible leaders to the Ministry of Internal Security docket. Gideon Moreka of South Mugirango said the ministry is sensitive and thus requires serious ministers like the late George Saitoti and his assistant Orwa Ojode.

Moreka said that even as the country mourns the two ministers, there is need for their immediate replacement as a measure of assuring Kenyans of their security. "I am urging the President and the PM to appoint credible leaders who can head the Internal Security docket like Saitoti and Ojode did," he said.
