Angola: Cabinda Quay Inauguration Postponed

Luanda — The inauguration ceremony of the new quay of the northern Cabinda province, initially set for this Wednesday, was postponed sine die.

The inauguration act is part of the modernization programme of ports, airports and railway infrastructures in the country.

A delegation from the Ministry of Transports arrived on Wednesday in Cabinda province to attend the inauguration ceremony, whose infrastructure is considered to be important for the socio-economic development of the region.

ANGOP learnt that the new port quay of Cabinda eliminates dependence on the Congolese port of Pointe Noire and this undertaking will be an important milestone for the province of Cabinda and the country in general, meaning more development and national cohesion.

The new port quay of Cabinda will end with the constraints that raised the prices of port and customs operations of imported goods.
