Angola: Catholic University Holds Workshop On Growth and Opportunity Act

Luanda — The Centre for Study and Scientific Research of the Angolan Catholic University and the US embassy in Angola will hold on Thursday at 3 p.m in Luanda a workshop on African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).

According to a press note from the US embassy released to Angop on Tuesday, the event will be lectured by the Political and Economic Advisor of the US embassy in Angola, Thomas Hastings.

AGOA (Title I, Trade and Development Act of 2000 is a legislation that has been approved by the U.S. Congress in May 2000 and aims to assist the economies of sub-Saharan Africa and to improve economic relations between the United States and the region.
